The following news stories appeared on my news feed within minutes of each other.First a story about the Pentagon's having had proof of an Al Qaeda connection in Iraq.
Then, three minutes later, a story about the Pentagon's having proof of an Iranian connection in Iraq.
To be honest, I don't find it hard to believe that there are Iranians causing problems in Iraq--it is a logical assumption (unlike the Al Qaeda connection years ago), but does the Pentagon actually believe that anybody actually trusts them anymore.
They are going to do what they want to do regardless of what anybody thinks--they have proven that time and time again. The least they can do is not try to insult our intelligence (pun intended) by "proving" anything.
